NETFLIX | 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before'

'All The Boys I've Loved Before' is a Netflix adaptation of the 2014 Jenny Han book of the same name. The film tells the story of when a teenage girl's secret love letters are exposed and wreck havoc upon her life.

While 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' plays by all the rules of the rom-coms we once loved (and seem to have been lacking in recent years), it also boasts relatable characters representative of our society today. With a top-notch cast and chemistry abound, one could almost forgive the lack of surprises and predictability.

Whether you've read the novel or not, this is the heartwarming blast of love we need in our modern world, and definitely the feel good movie of the year. It's a film you can watch over and over, and one you don't have to think about too deeply. We've all had crushes that haven't worked out, and this is a refreshing reminder of that.

Although novel-to-screen adaptions have always been hit-and-miss, 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' has done well in adapting its source material. Through its ebbs and flows, the film projects a simple yet warm message: put yourself out there, because you never know what might happen and who you might meet.

Side note: if you don't wish Kitty were your sister, you need to rethink your priorities.

'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' is on Netflix now.
